The Shift Catalyst — The Dreamwork Summit

By Stephen Dinan, founder and CEO of The Shift Network

Ask your dreams for guidance before you go to sleep, and you open the door to revealing your soul’s desires and highest purpose…

The good news is, you don’t need special powers or years of study with a master dreamwork teacher to work with your dreams… You simply need to learn how to pay attention to their themes, characters, and landscapes, and to the feelings they evoke in you.

Join us online for The Dreamwork Summit from October 29 to November 1 for free presentations on dreamwork that can help you uncover unhealthy emotional patterns, identify the cause of an illness, discover how to mend a difficult relationship, jump-start a creative project, or make a big life decision.

Since ancient times, civilizations have looked to their nighttime dreams for wisdom – to foretell the future, cure sickness, and deal with life’s challenges.

Now you too can discover how to harvest this timeless wisdom — from more than two dozen master dream teachers, including Robert Moss, Sandra Ingerman, Toko-pa Turner, Dr. Michael Katz, Jean Shinoda Bolen, Yeye Luisah Teish, and Grandmother Flordemayo

... all of whom will be offering effective practices, tools, and techniques for tapping into the soul-guided insights, healing power, and creative inspiration within your nighttime dreams.

To register for this free summit, click here.

The stories in this issue’s “The Nicest Thing” section come from two featured speakers in The Dreamwork Summit — dream weaver and bee tender Ariella Daly... and dream shaman Robert Moss.

You’ll also find a heartwarming story from Marit Mesipuu, who provides administrative support at The Shift Network. Look for stories from other members of the Shift Team in future issues. We look forward to having you get to know us better!

We’d love to hear your answer to the question, What’s the most important insight you harvested from a nighttime dream? To share your thoughts in our Facebook Page community, click here.

You are born to fly, and in dreams you remember the soul has wings.

How Nightmares Transformed My Life And Freed Me From Fear
By Dr. Clare Johnson

The true origins of my interest in nightmares and lucid dreaming are rooted in what happened when I was three years old. My earliest memory is of a nightmare in which I was terrified because I knew I was about to die. The dream started well — I was in a sparkling turquoise swimming pool, splashing around in all the beauty. Then somehow, I was underwater and sinking fast. I was kicking frantically and trying to get back up to the surface, but sinking deeper and deeper.

In this special video series, prominent authors, speakers, thought leaders, and others answer the question, “What is the nicest thing a non-family member has ever done for you?

Ariella Daly’s Story

EXCERPT: So I said yes and we went to go book our flights to England, to get onto the training and still we were not in the training. We were 13th and 14th on the waiting list. I said, “Look, okay, let's say yes anyway, let's go to England, let's go to France, and let's leave that week of this shamanic training for women around women and honey bees. Let's leave this open. I bet we're going to get in.”

Robert Moss’ Story

EXCERPT: I was busy, as usual, traveling and teaching a lot around the world, and my book deadline was two weeks away. Although I write fast, two weeks isn't very long to write a book when you actually haven't knuckled down and done any of it as a draft up to that point. A friend of mind in Europe sent me a message and said, "How's the book coming along?" I said, "Well, I don't really know what to say. The deadline's in two weeks. It's all with me in a sense, but I haven't put anything really on paper, yet." She said, "Okay. Maybe this dream will help you, Robert. I want to give you a dream. It's a dream about you."

Marit Mesipuu’s Story

EXCERPT: I had just arrived to Australia, I had been there for a month, and I was still looking for work. I was starting to get a little bit stressed out because there was nothing, and I had made tons of calls, which was very challenging for me at that time, because in Estonia... Estonia's where I'm living right now and where I'm from, and in Estonia we do most of the communication by email. So I had to make lots of calls and tried to get many contacts to find some kind of work. And I wanted to do farm work.

The Dream World Is My Home World
By Robert Moss (a featured speaker in The Dreamwork Summit)

The dream world is my home world, and has been from very early childhood. I first died in this lifetime when I was three years old. My great aunt the opera singer saw this in the tea leaves but didn’t talk about it until long after. What she did not see was that – as a doctor at the hospital in Hobart, Tasmania told my parents – I “died and came back”. That is still the term I prefer to use of these experiences. I don’t remember much of what happened when I left my body at age three, only that it was very hard to live in a body in this world after I came back, and that I felt that my home reality was somewhere else.

Qigong: Unblocking Energy Stagnation for Breast Health
By Grand Master Nan Lu

Breast cancer, like all other “disease,” is considered an energy imbalance in the eyes of Chinese medicine. To be in balance, energy must flow freely through pathways called meridians. Meridians carry information that allow the five major organ systems — the Liver, Heart, Spleen, Lung, and Kidney — to cooperate and achieve the best health possible.

Greta Thunberg at Standing Rock
By Sabrina Hornung of the High Plains Reader

EXCEPT FROM GRETA’S QUOTES: “Nothing is being done to save the planet. We as teenagers shouldn’t be the ones taking the responsibility, it should be those who are in power... and also it is because you here at Standing Rock, you are on the front line. You are the true warriors. You are the ones standing up for everyone else’s future and I have so much respect for you and I am so grateful that you have taken this fight.”

The Importance of Forgiveness in Marriage and Relationships
PostivePsychology.com

The ability to forgive and seek forgiveness is often rated as one of the most important factors that affect relationship longevity.

Close relationships are often marred by interpersonal offenses. Conflict and social harm can take a considerable toll on our psychological and physical well-being and some argue that happiness depends to a large extent on how we respond to and recover from these difficult and painful experiences.

Forgiveness looks different when we forgive a stranger versus a loved one and depends on the nature of the relationship. Many researchers and clinicians claim that forgiveness is a cornerstone of a successful marriage.

Mysterious Realities: A Dream Traveler's Tales from the Imaginal Realm
By Robert Moss (a featured speaker in The Dreamwork Summit)

Sigmund Freud called dreams the “royal road to the unconscious,” but to bestselling author and world-renowned dream explorer Robert Moss, they are more: portals to the imaginal realm, a higher reality that exists at the intersection of time and eternity. The traveler’s tales in this book are just-so stories in the sense that they spring from direct experience in the many worlds. As you journey from the temple of the Great Goddess at Ephesus to an amazing chance encounter on an airplane, from Dracula country in Transylvania to the astral realm of Luna, you’ll confirm that the doors to the otherworld open from wherever you are. You’ll see what it means to live on a mythic edge and to make a deal with your personal Death for a life extension. At any moment, you may fall, like the author, into the lap of a goddess or the jaws of an archetype.
